West Chelsea Contemporary Art is in progress and prepping for a new exhibit to debut on Friday, 30August! There will be Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and other incredible art. Derek is knowledgeable about every artist and Monica welcomes you with a warm smile into the gallery. What I loved as I walked up the steps to the entrance, I noticed that each step has a painted stencil that reads: She 's Beautiful. She's A Texan. That slogan needs to be on a ballcap/tshirt/decal for a pickup truck. Or Jeep.

The team at West Chelsea is fantastic! We have enjoyed working with Derek Boone to grow our collection over the past few years. His knowledge and expertise has guided us to add some fantastic pieces to our collection. We look forward to continuing to work with him for years to come. Cannot recommend this gallery, and Derek, enough if you are interested in contemporary art!

One of Austin's best contemporary galleries. Always worth stopping in to see what they have. This gallery also has a fun gift shop.
They share a parking lot with several other businesses that are wrapped around the treaty oak.

My daughter and I stumbled upon this gallery while experiencing the antique gallery next door. I am so GRATEFUL that we did ❤️ I purchased some "new to me" art by artist Tara McPherson and I am IN LOVE ?

Victoria Elida was our Art Consultant and she was very knowledgeable and helpful in regards to our tastes

We will be experiencing the new collection/exhibit next weekend for sure ?

Visiting this gallery was one of the highlights of my trip to Austin. Derek was passionate and knowledgeable, and I was able to enjoy a lot of beautiful work. Seeing a Dali and Picasso (along with a bunch of other wonderful artists) was an unexpected treat.

Strongly recommend for anyone, whether you're a buyer or just someone who appreciates art.

Great helpful staff! The gallery features contemporary street and graffiti artists. The price points show the value of urban influenced artists. They offer financing on the art. Nice space with great lighting to see the art.

I visited to see the “Concrete to Canvas” installation, and it exceeded my expectations. The flow of the gallery made for a digestible and easy way to appreciate all the art. I would highly recommend anyone to go if they want to take some time to learn about and see some of the most renowned street artists pieces.

I spent time earlier this week at West Chelsea Contemporary in Austin. It was truly one of the more unique and duckling art (and life) experiences. They were in between shows and setting up after a brief but detailed and fun conversation I walked the gallery and enjoyed the exhibits. Warhol, Koons, Yue Minjun and others. Allee the Assistant Director had greeted me on the way in, before I left she has few gems I had to see. Works from KAWS and Murakami up close as you can see. All of this based on a brief conversation. She was engaging with my sons talking about their thoughts and favorites. I purchased a couple books but this is an experience my sons and I will take with us forever. I’ll be back and won’t be leaving empty handed!
