This place is still as good as I remember it from 17 years ago... Amazing bbq as always..a little pricey but portion sizes were great. I wish they offered smaller plates for people that want to sample a little bit of everything without being charged the price of dinner for 4 people. Other than that, this place was great, I never had to ask for a refill of my drink once and all of the staff were just super. 10/10 highly recommend.

Ok, it had been several decades since I was here. I read some negative reviews and was really skeptical about taking my family since I had always talked this place up. We went on a Saturday night, were greeting an seated immediately, our waitress Morgan was really friendly and knew the menu and made solid recommendations. Our drinks stayed full, our steaks were cooked where we could see over an open flame, and to perfection. The beans and bread (toasted and buttered!) were surprisingly good, especially after reading a complaint about them. The cherry cobbler was out of this world. We waited for nothing, and our service was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Service is great here. BUT a 12 oz “market price” Ribeye steak and a baked potato, $50. It was a VERY thin cut steak, maybe 1/2 in thick which is very hard to cook medium rare. First one was well done on 1/3, medium well on 1/3 and medium in the other 1/3. Second attempt was better but still medium over most of the steak. Had good taste but a USDA “choice” cut isn’t a premium cut, it’s average. And on top of that the steaks are vacuum packed from Sysco. I love the service and history but unfortunately there are several better places for steak in that same price point.

Unfortunately after sitting for more than 20 mins and ordering drinks. We didn't receive our drinks or no one to take our orders, so we left. No one asked if we needed help. This was my first time, and I was excited , but now I'm totally disappointed. Silver saddles was closed so we went to texas roadhouse!

Honestly not impressed in the least. I understand having a limited menu but nothing is good. The stake is so overpriced for what you get. Like $40+ for for a stake that isn't even cooked correctly is crazy. My husband asked for medium rare and got almost medium well. His stake also cost $70 bucks. Then you get beans that aren't even sessioned and a small salad and run of the meal toast. Their cups are so small that you need a refill every 3 minutes while you wait 2 hours for your food, and they never come around to fill anything but the water glasses. The picnic tables are so uncomfortable to sit in for so long without back support and my leg kept getting cut on a nail that was sticking out of it. Then when the food comes they stack all the plates on top of each other so your food is touching the bottom of another plate. Like Honestly save yourself the money and cook a good stake at home. I don't understand why this place is popular, I'd choose any other stake house in town. Texas toad house has better stakes and service for half the price.

I have heard so much about this lil' place, and when I was invited here for dinner, I couldn't pass up the opportunity!
It is a shock and awe experience! The old rustic building and historical decor feels inviting and fun.
The wooden picnic benches and paper placemats carry this theme throughout the experience.
Our server, Connie, was fantastic! As sweet as pie and very helpful and accommodating!
We had the pork ribs to split as an appetizer and much to my surprise, they served this slightly charred, sticky moist slab of meat on cream colored plastic plates that had to have dated back to my early childhood.
Another shock moment...in which quickly became an "awe" when I tried the pork ribs! Fall off the bone, tender and juicy! The BBQ sauce paired on the side is my new favorite!
We ordered our food, and the ranch beans came family style with an entire loaf of soft but sweet grilled bread. A house salad with a vat of dressing, just as I had requested.
I also read the reviews about the salsa and its intended place at the table. I quickly scooped up a portion and added it to beans. The reviewers are RIGHT!! It added a whole other depth of deliciousness!
The half chicken, the bone in ribeye, and the salmon with its wine white and butter sauce were all fantastic! Cooked to perfection and probably some of the best steaks I have had cooked over an open flame!
Is it eclectic? Yes!
Is it good? Absolutely!
Is it expensive? It can be!
But it's worth every bite and every penny, I didn't even have to dress up for the event! This qauint and quirky place knows how to keep it simple and seriously delicious!
