I came here last year to get some new prescription glasses because Costco didn't replace just the lenses (I had to buy new frames from them too).
After examining my eyes, Dr. Li said that my eyes got a little worse and needed new prescription. I showed her my current glasses (which were done at Garden Grove Costco Optometry) and told her to make new ones the way my current ones functioned because I felt very comfortble with them. I expected my new glasses to be equally comfortable or better but the opposite happened.
I spent almost $500 for my new 3 pairs of lenses and one $20 frame (the other 2 frames were mine). The office didn't finish my glasses for almost 3 months (yes, 3 months). I was okay because I could still use my Costco glasses. When I tried the new glasses, I didn't feel comfortable at all but Dr Li told me that it took time for me to adjust to them. I took her advice and left. After two weeks, I came back and told her that I felt dizzy with the new glasses and requested her to fix them like my Costco glasses. She told me that she could adjust them a little and I had to try to get adjusted to the new ones, and that she could not help me if I could't get adjusted to the new ones (that meant she could not make the ones like my Costco glasses). She adjusted one pair first and I was trying to wear them for a few weeks. The glasses didn't feel better. I didn't have time, so didn't come back right away. When I came back, they told me that they couldn't do anything with my glasses because it passed 3 months since I got my glasses. Nobody at that office informed me about their 3 month "deadline" policy . Now, I'm still wearing my Costco glasses. I greatly regret that I wanted to save over $120 on new frame at Costco and wasted my $500 at Dr Li's office!

The ladies are very sweet here, including Dr. Loretta. I've been coming here for quite some time, and their rates for eye exams (both for glasses & contacts) are affordable to pay out of pocket, especially if you don't have great coverage through your insurance.

Their selection in frames are a bit limited, but I've always brought in my own frames, so it's not really a problem.

The wait time can be a little long, especially on the weekends .. so keep that in mind. I called in prior on a weekday to make an appointment for an upcoming Saturday, and they were booked. However, one of the office assistants let me know, if anyone canceled she would call me back. She got back to me & managed to squeezed me in for that Saturday.

I've been going here for 10 years and have had such a great experience with Dr. Loretta and staff. She was able to control my contact prescription from increasing year to year by putting me on bifocal contact lenses. Most recently I had an issue with my eyes being red and irritated upon wearing my contacts so I went to Urgent Care in which they prescribed antibiotics since they said it was pink eye which was wrong. I asked Dr. Loretta about my eyes and she solved my red eye irritation by pinpointing that the eye solution I was using was causing the issue. Thanks to Dr. Loretta for solving my eye problems.

Dr Loretta Li, her staff and the optician are top notch and super nice while being very knowledgeable. Super thorough exam, very affordable prices for the quality even if you dont have insurance. Very happy with the eye exam and the glasses. Would recommend to everyone.

Dr. Loretta and her staff are all very kind and compassionate. I've watched them handle a teenager getting contacts for the first time assisting the teenager in learning how to put them on, clean and take off. The teenager needed the contacts as they were involved in sports where glasses could not be worn. Although very busy, they always take the time to help each patient. Have now known Dr. Loretta and her staff for 5 yrs.

Dr. Li and all the staff are great. been going there for over 25 years... BUT the major issue is with ordering glasses from there. If you pick one off the display, that would be the one you get. Which means if that display frame could've been on the shelf for couple of years with hundreds of people trying them on and not handling it glasses properly. So the frame you get is essentially a VERY USED frame. My wife and I both got glasses here and both ended up requiring repairs. Mine is actually beyond repair at the sprint hinges and now it's just held in place with epoxy. Very disappointing.

Dr Li is my savior, she diagnosed me with a rare genetic disease. Now I'm on treatment for it. I can't thank her enough for all she's done! I been seeing her for over 30 years, and she is so good at what she does. She is caring, careful , and her skills are beyond what an optometrist should do. Thank you God for bringing me to her!!!?
