For over a decade, I was a photographer for a rock and roll magazine called “Circus.” In 2015, over two hundred of my photographs became part of The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. For the last six years, The David Leonardis Gallery has displayed those images. David’s knowledge about a vast variety of art, including Classic Rock and Roll photography, is truly amazing. He became a trusted friend and an endless source of valuable encouragement. His gallery is fun. It has the atmosphere of an old time general store, overflowing with very cool art. In reality, David Leonardis is a matchmaker that introduces people to art they love.

David is the best! I'm new to Chicago and Wicker Park... wandered in the gallery one Sunday afternoon, left with a life-changing Howard Finster piece. He was super patient with my indecisive-self to make sure I got a piece I loved. David knows his stuff and has a story for everything. Plus he hand-delivered and installed the artwork for the reasonable price of a beer for his efforts. Will be back for more art!

Finally stopped in after driving past for a year! I saw a print by Donald Topp of one of my favorite bands... ZZ Top! David gave me a price that I could not refuse. Seeing this as a great deal, I made him an offer that HE could not refuse and purchased 2 more that evening! I'm now looking at a Matt Lamb Painting...

What a great experience spending time with David at his gallery. Passion for art oozes out of him and you can’t help but get excited for the artists he supports. I’m a collector of Donald Topps due to David’s enthusiasm for this unique artist. David also comes to your home and installs the art!!! And some of the art he hung was not even purchased from his gallery!!! I’m so grateful for David’s guidance and knowledge in the art space. Truly an educational and fun experience! Saving up for my next piece!

This place is unlike every gallery I have been to. It seems more personal. David is always there and he has a wild story about every artist in the gallery. Do not go unless you are ready to make a purchase as you will without a doubt connect with something there. I have 2 pieces from there now and it’s always my first stop when I have open space on a wall! Thanks as always, David : )
