I’m deeply disappointed with this art gallery. My friend entrusted them with their painting, only for the gallery to act dishonestly and claim ownership of it without consent. This is not only unethical but also completely unprofessional.

Artists deserve respect and fair treatment, especially from institutions that are supposed to support them. I would not recommend this gallery to anyone who values integrity and accountability.

Think twice before engaging with this place—it’s clear they do not respect the very artists that make their business possible.

Where is the painting?
It is pretty frustrating to know that artists work so hard to make their work visible and the fact they cannot trust anyone, including people who are supposedly being their allies.

Ivanna de Armas has tried to solve this for weeks and she has gotten no answer for the owner of this place. She blames everyone but herself. As an owner, you need to take responsibility for your actions.

It is impossible that a piece like this just happened to disappear from your store and you have no idea what where it is.

How is that a thing? We are not talking about jewelry or any small piece that someone can take out of your place without noticing.

So as the way I see it, you either give it back to the artist or pay for it, but doing none or anything else is just outrageous.

What a shame!

?‼️ I strongly advise against working with this gallery. My sister entrusted her painting to them for an exhibition, only for it to disappear without explanation. The gallery owner claimed she was going through a divorce with her former partner, who co-managed the gallery, at the time the artwork was left in their care. However, this is no excuse for the complete lack of responsibility and accountability shown.

Not only has the gallery failed to provide any transparency regarding the painting's whereabouts, but the owner also appears entirely unwilling to assist in locating it. She offered no solutions or support and instead seemed indifferent to the matter altogether. This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially in a space that is supposed to support and value artists and their work.

We have reason to believe the painting was either sold or stolen, and the gallery has done nothing to dispel this suspicion. If you’re an artist considering working with this gallery, I strongly urge you to think twice before trusting them with your work.

I had a terrible experience with Buro Wynwood and its owner, Diana. One of my original paintings, a 36x36-inch piece, went missing while in their possession. This is not a small piece that could easily be misplaced. When I confronted Diana about it, she blamed an “ownership change,” which is completely false—she has been the owner from the very beginning.

This lack of accountability and respect for artists is unacceptable. I would caution anyone, especially artists, against working with this business. It’s deeply disappointing to see such disregard for someone’s hard work and creativity.

Artists, be cautious when dealing with this business. The owner of the store is extremely rude and disrespectful. My experience here was deeply disappointing, and I would not recommend it to anyone who values professionalism and respect for their work.
