I had the pleasure of visiting the "Under the Shade of the Lotus Tree" exhibition by Pari Azarm Motamedi and Rozita Moini Shirazi, which beautifully intertwines Persian culture and art. Friendly staff, beautiful space. I always enjoy going to the art gallery. It's nice that it is such an inclusive environment. I like that they are always bringing in new exhibits from a wide range of topics. I pretty much learn something new every time I go in there. My only complaint would be that they're not open every day, but everyone needs a day off. 👍

Mandatory stop in Victoria. The Legacy Art Gallery is open to the public from Wednesdays to Saturdays and it is an amazing place to spend sometime. The exhibitions are very interesting, and some events organized here too. The staff is very kind and the building cosy.

Just visited to check out the "Fluid" exhibit and it was marvelous. I was trying hard not to cry as I walked by and read the stories of their tragedies and victories and how they're living their authentic lives now and how that gives them so much hope and happiness. Something we should all strive for! Besides that, the space is lovely, lots of natural light, and accessible.

LAG, run by UVic, is open and free to all. Though the venue is not large, it has tight well curated shows. It's always a worthwhile visit when ever you are downtown.
