I brought some prints in that needed to be updated. The gallery is very inviting and Matt the owner as well as Tanya took the time and suggested what would look great. I was very pleasantly surprised at the difference. I will be going there for all my art and framing needs.

I brought in an oil portrait of my late father that was in need of reframing (from the 70's) the staff at Broadmead were very careful with his painting and made great suggestions for the reframe to really make the portrait details stand out. I could not have been more happy with the outcome of the final work. Dad looks great and my sister and I absolutely love the newly framed portrait! I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to work with them again.

Matt the owner is very knowledgeable and walks you through the process and options open to you. Lots of local artists work on the walls, and some of his as well(John Lennon).
Wonderfull paintings displayed on old easels. He even has a coffee maker for client on offer.
They are renovating within the next month and will be changing the name. Located next to the Shoppers Drug Mart. Parking right out front.

I have taken over 20 pieces to Matt (everything from vintage posters to postcards) and he has never failed to produce a beautiful work of art which I am proud to display. Matt takes great care to ensure every detail is right so the finished result is perfect. It can sometimes take a few months to get a piece framed, but this is due to the high demand for quality work! Matt's original paintings are also exquisite, and showcase the beauty of Vancouver Island.

I rarely write reviews but I feel that I need to here. I wish I knew. This place is probably ok for those who have a clear vision of what they want and aren't framing important art.

When I first brought in my original print for framing, the person helping me ran his hands all over the print. I would never do this. I brought the print in carefully sandwiched between boards and wrapped. It bugged me, and I wished I said something then but I just assumed he knew what he was doing.

I paid in full and was then told it would be 1.5 months.

After 2 months I called to see if it was done. They said sure, come get it tomorrow. I wondered why they waited for me to call before framing it.

When I picked it up there was a clear finger print smudge on the bottom corner of the print. And there were two other lighter finger smudges on the top corners of the print.

I inquired about the smudges and was told that they were from the artist. Not having any documentation on the state of the print before handing it over, I didn't know what else to do so I left it as is.

It still bothers me that I didn't speak up about the way he handled the print, and that I didn't take pictures of the print before handing it over. I have no proof of anything and am not 100% sure it was his fault. But I am sure that the whole experience left me wishing I went somewhere else. 🙁

His advice also didn't look good at all. He recommended matching the mat to the print paper colour. It looks awful.

Matt has expertly framed the two oil paintings that I brought to his store. The artist, my grandmother Eugenie Rowell, would be thrilled to see her work displayed to perfection. Matt spent considerable time working with me to select frames that perfectly complement the paintings. What spectacular results! Thank you Matt.

Beautiful job. The gentleman who helped me explained the quality of the poster I wanted framed was practically newsprint and how he could help preserve it. He was realistic with time frames for getting the framing done. It came with bonus glass care instructions and made a perfect anniversary gift!
