The homeschool program is fantastic!! I love listening to the gallery tour. The exhibits are always beautiful, rich with history. The little gift shop is full of local artists.

The Bombhead exhibit was up when I visited - interesting collection to view and read about given the European war currently going on.

The gallery itself is small, one large room and a smaller closed-door room to view video. But everything is set up very well and entrance is by donation. It's also centrally located in the arts district within a few minutes of the Nanaimo Museum and Vancouver Island Military Museum - I visited all three and made for a fun/educational afternoon.

I love this place. Although this is one of the smallest art galleries I've ever visited, the exhibits are often well put together, mindful, and rich in substance. I think it is precisely because of the gallery's diminutive size that it has such an impact on its visitors.

The gift shop often offers artworks made by local artists. Admission is by donation.

We visited the Nanaimo Art Gallery, they had their permanent pottery collection available for viewing as well as non permanent displays. There were also some pottery available for purchase by a local group. They had a pottery Librarian available for questions regarding the exhibit. Not a large art gallery but it was enjoyable!

Had a very informative talk about the pottery on display. Watched 2 films, made me want to start taking pottery lessons! Most enjoyable experience!
