I moved to NC in November of 2023, and found Dr. Zhou from a support group for people with POTS as a few had good experiences with her. Unfortunately I did not. My first couple of appointments were alright, however I could visually see her analyzing my partner negatively which struck me as odd and rude. In one of my appointments I expressed that I needed a new script with her as my new PCP for one of my medications, and she refused to fill it stating that only a rheumatologist could fill it (not true) and later instead said she wouldn't because I had Anemia (also not true). This caused me to run completely out of my medication and into a flare of my ailment leading to me going to the ER for it. When I had my hysterectomy, which set off a POTS flare-up, I asked her about getting a temporary handicap placard for recovery for my own safety. She told me that she would not/could not unless I get my driver's license,(my gyno would have done it herself but it has to be written by your primary care doctor apparently.) which I do not have due to vehicle related drama. I looked it up later, and you DO NOT need a license to have a placard, (which makes complete sense). On top of all of this, I received multiple instances of "helpful advice" in which I was told essentially to "Get a job" (I'm disabled lol), "go to college" (In this economy? Lol), and become a doctor (lol). In the end after leaving appointments with consistent negative emotions, I just stopped going even if I was sick or had issues pop up, I didn't bother to get a new doctor as I knew I was moving in November of 2024.

So tl;dr if you're a younger person, who's disabled, and missing a college degree, you're not in for a good time. 🙂

Dr. Li Zhou is an excellent doctor and I am very happy she is my doctor. I recently had my annual exam with her. She was very knowledgeable and explained many medical information to ensure I fully understand them. She was very thorough in her examination and was very detail orientated. She reminded me all the vaccines and procedures that I should be getting at my age. I would definitely recommend her to others. It is a great comfort to know that she will take good care of me.

Dr. Zhou has taken care of my family for about 10 years. She caught and monitors my heart disease and kidney problems resulting from the heart medications I am on. Dr. Zhou is an integral part of my care team which includes a Cardiologist and a Nephrologist.

Dr. Zhou has always shown me a caring and compassionate demeanor whether discussing the joy in the birth of my grandchildren or the sorrow over the death of my mother.

I can't imagine my health care team minus Dr. Zhou.

I went to Dr. Zhou for years before I changed jobs and insurance wouldn't pay. I am working to see if she takes my new insurance and if so, I will drive from Benson just to see her. She is a wonderful doctor.......
