She wasn’t thorough, rushed through my appointments, wouldn’t refill all of my prescription medications that were prescribed by the previous neurologist. Left the practice without submitting my multiple sclerosis infusion medication, was waitlisted for over a year & now it’s been 2 years without my medication. Symptoms were worse than before.

8 months with another neurologist care, that did not know after several visits what was causing my wife's seizures. My wife was admitted to an ICU after several severe seizures where Dr. Makipour suggested a spinal tap. She also decided to send part of the sample to the Mayo Clinic to be tested for something else. The answer came from the Mayo about 12 days later, now we have a diagnosis thanks to her after 8 months with
another Neurologist! Thank you Dr. Makipour!

I first met Dr. Makipour when my dad was hospitalized. She was very thorough and knowledgable. She helped us through a very difficult time. When we see her in clinic, she always runs on time which I appreciate. She has taken good care of my dad and we are all very grateful.

If I could give Dr. Lackipoor I mean Makipour a negative star rating I would, but the review makes you click at least one star. She lacks professionalism, neurological knowledge and respect for her patients and therefore is a very, very poor doctor. I wrote her on MyChart several times and she NEVER got to them. I personally have been to her office on Thursdays when she only does Botox and there are only 3 patients scheduled for that entire day. One would think that she could get to her MyChart messages then, but she is too busy trying to get out the door so she doesn't have to play doctor. Yes, I mean play. Because if she was a real doctor, she would take her job and patients seriously and make her front office take their job more professionally. Unfortunately that is not the case for Dr. Lackipoor. She lacks knowledge and is a VERY poor doctor. I found it sad that I know more than her. I have other neurologists that are located in Phoenix, Arizona and Dr. Lackipoor would always ask what they thought... this always made me say hmmmm. did you not go to medical school like the rest of the doctors? Can you not think for yourself?
So today was the last straw. After 4 MyChart messages since last week and no one bothered to answer them (they looked at them because the system said when the staff read them), I gave their office a call. The front office lady tried to give me medical advice, which is a no, no. You must have some type of medical license for that. She proceeded to tell me Dr. Lackipoor said I needed my PCP to deal with my neurological issues. I said funny! Because I went to my PCP this past week and he said the same thing about you! I needed to consult my neurologist because I'm dealing with neurological issues and that's a specialty for a neurologist, not a PCP. He advised me to find a different neurologist if she was not going to help me. So today while on the phone, I fired Dr. Lackipoor. I told her I've never met another doctor or office staff that is so unprofessional. I will be writing a letter to the Warren's who are our family friends. You probably wont see Dr. Lackipoor for much longer under Warren Clinic.

Horrendously lazy and largely incompetent office staff. They don't listen, take notes for your chart, and just make stuff up. The doctor doesn't like to do paperwork, so they just put whatever down and have her sign it. It has been an absolute saga of an ordeal trying to get procedures approved, and has now cost months of additional suffering because of their collective gross incompetence.
